SoriToon (“we,” “our,” or “us”) explains here how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the SoriToon mobile application and website.

SoriToon is intended for users aged 13 and over. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

1. Information we collect

1.1 Account information

• Email address
• Display name
• Authentication identifiers from Sign in with Apple or Google, where you use them

Passwords are handled by the authentication provider; we do not store them ourselves.

1.2 Profile information

• Display name, avatar image, and optional bio
• Age or age range, used to keep generated content age-appropriate
• Language and personalization preferences
• Profile visibility (public or private)

1.3 Comics and creative content

When you create, read, or publish a comic, we process:

• Your prompts and any photo you attach to a creation
• Generated scripts, panel art, character descriptions and reference sheets, covers, and series metadata
• Chosen art style and tone, reading progress, and collection membership
• Selected languages and cached translated captions used to speed up playback

Attached photos are used to shape that one creation and are not retained as a photo library.

1.4 Community and publishing

SoriToon includes an optional public community. When your profile is public or you publish a comic, we process:

• Published comics and their covers, titles, and descriptions
• Your public display name, avatar, and bio
• Follows, followers, saves, reposts, and comments
• Reports you submit about other users or content, and reports submitted about yours

Anything you publish is visible to other users and may be visible to people without an account. Keeping your profile private keeps new comics to yourself.

1.5 Usage and diagnostics

• Device type and operating system version
• App usage analytics, such as comics created and features used
• Crash reports and performance data

2. How we use your information

• Generate comics, art, and narration from your prompts
• Keep a series consistent — the same characters, art style, and tone across episodes
• Maintain your library, reading progress, and collections
• Operate the community: publishing, discovery, follows, and moderation
• Provide translated captions and narration
• Send service notifications, such as when a comic finishes drawing
• Improve the app, diagnose crashes, and provide customer support

We do not use your data for advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

3. Users under 18

SoriToon is intended for users aged 13 and over. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you should review these terms with a parent or guardian. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it. Contact us at support@soristory.com if you believe this has happened.

4. Data sharing and disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We share data with:

• Service providers — Google Cloud and Vertex AI (story, art, and speech generation, and translation), Firebase (authentication, database, storage, messaging, and crash reporting), and Apple or Google (subscription payment processing). Each is bound by a data processing agreement.
• Other users — when you publish a comic or make your profile public, that content and your public profile are shown to others.
• Legal requirements — when required by law, court order, or a governmental authority, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

5. Data security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest with our cloud providers, and access is restricted to what is needed to operate the Service. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Retention and deletion

We keep your account data while your account is active. You can delete individual comics, or your entire account, from within the app. Deleting your account removes your comics, profile, and published content from the Service; backups and logs are purged on a rolling schedule. Deleted comics may sit in a recently-deleted state for a limited window so you can restore them.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. Use the in-app controls, or email support@soristory.com — we respond to privacy requests within 48 hours.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced in the app or by email, and the “last updated” date above will change.
